Society of St. Vincent De Paul
The Society of Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society.
St. Anthony’s Conference, TC Palya started on September 2010 with 10 members. The meetings are held on Sunday at 10:00 am beginning with Prayer and reading of the Word of God. The discussion regarding the new appeal for the weekly assistance take place. Every month on 2 nd Sunday there is Dumb box collection outside Church after all the Eucharist Celebrations. The request for Ration, groceries, medical assistance and Education needs are met in time.
Totally, seven families are helped with Ration every month, three persons are getting medical assistance and Education support for 25 students annually. The additional help is extended to the medical emergencies like Heart patients, accidents and eye surgery etc.
Now we have around 15 members in St Anthony’s conference. We all work towards supporting the Needy and Poor families of the parish.
